CASE STUDY

For the Weed For Black Women merchandise project, the goal was to create bold, culturally resonant designs that reflect the brand’s commitment to celebrating and uplifting Black women who partake in cannabis culture. The final pieces blend vibrant creativity with a strong message, resulting in merch that not only looks good but also empowers the community it serves.

INSPIRATION BEHIND THE DESIGNS

The designs were inspired by a mix of streetwear and cultural aesthetics from brands like Bricks and Woods, Stüssy, Awake NY, and Future is Color. These influences shaped the bold and unapologetic style that’s evident in each piece.

CO-FOUNDER OF WEED FOR BLACK WOMEN

For the Higher Black Women tote, I provided the client with rights to photos of myself, embracing my connection to the culture. The full range of merchandise, including some items that are now sold out, is available at weedforblackwomen.com.

MERCH PRESENTATION DECK

The Merch Presentation Deck was carefully crafted to showcase each design in high-quality mockups, complete with thoughtful copy to guide the narrative. I ensured all final design files were meticulously compiled, creating a one-stop resource for the client to review, approve, and use.
